I’m Ray Earl Biermann a 28-year-old multidisciplinary old creative Interaction Designer based in Stuttgart, Germany. My expertise includes a wide spectrum ranging from websites, mobile apps, user interfaces for embedded systems and the internet of things to computer games.
Recently I finished my master's degree in Interaction Design at FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria. Before that, I did a bachelor's degree in Information Design at the Stuttgart Media University. It was all about designing, conception and evaluation. During that time I mostly focused on designing user interfaces for mobile devices and the web.
My internship at Bosch Thermotechnology also got me a lot of insight and knowledge into user interfaces of embedded systems (e.g. for thermostats) - focusing on structure, aesthetics, the user, and functions. This shaped my evolving focus in user interfaces and interaction design.
Besides I enjoy taking pictures with my DSLR-Camera. I won't say no to a nice movie in the evening. I've been a boy scout for almost a decade, which led to travel throughout Europe and exploring a lot of different cultures. I really like being abroad and discovering new things.
My skill set focuses on the following areas:
USER INTERFACE / INTERACTION / PROTOTYPING / USER EXPERIENCE / WIREFRAMES
PERSONAS / MOBILE / USABILITY / APPLICATION DESIGN / SCREEN DESIGN / WEB
INTERNET OF THINGS / SMART HOME
Some of the daily tools I use:
Depending on the project the tools can vary and will also include video game engines, 3d modelling software, adobe flash, video editing.
