Project created in collaboration with Stefan Baumann, Nicola Lecca and Carlotta Scalet at FH Joanneum, Graz.
Alpha_Space is a student project in Game Design, done at the FH Joanneum in Graz, Austria. It utilizes the Pepper's ghost effect and motion control to generate a holographic-like gaming experience.
The goal of this project was to design a unique interactive game with the help of the Unity 3D Game Engine. Therefore an Asteroids-like arcade game was designed and programmed. The content is displayed as a reflection onto a pyramid, which enables a holographic-like presentation of the game – showing four perspectives.
To make a natural interaction with hand motions possible, a Leap Motion controller was used as the primary input device. I was heavily involved in the conception and design (assets, programming) of the product.
